2023 Annular Solar Eclipse (NASA TV)

Very special kind of solar eclipse happened on 14 October 2023, when a “ring of fire” eclipse traveled across the United States from Oregon to Texas.

The annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun, but appears too small to completely cover the Sun’s surface – resulting in what appears as a ring of fire in the sky.

This eclipse was seen on a narrow path, but was broadcasted on NASA TV (and on many other channels).

You can relive the ecplise and learn more about the eclipses on this one-hour-recording from NASA TV.
