Virgin Galactic made another so-called space tourist flight on 10 August 2023. VSS Unity spacecraft flew a suborbital flight up to an altitude of 88.5 km - breaking just the American limit for space, but not the internationally agreed limit of 100 km.
The pilots CJ Sturckow and Kelly Latimer, Virgin Galactic’s Beth Moses and passengers Jon Goodwin, Keisha Schahaff and Anastasia Mayers experienced though minutes of microgravity during the flight and had beautiful views from the upper atmosphere.
Jon Goodwin from the United Kingdom was the first passenger flying with Virgin Galactic, who has paid for his trip. Keisha Schahaff and Anastatia Mayers from Antigua and Barbuda won the ticket in a competition.
