China's small automatic space plane – similar to X-37B of the USA – landed at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Monday 8 May after being in space for 276 days.
This was craft's second mission.
"The success of the experiment marks an important breakthrough in China's research on reusable spacecraft technologies, which will provide more convenient and affordable round-trip methods for the peaceful use of space in the future," stated Chinese Xinhua news agency.
